We are seeking a skilled Website & Communications Specialist to support the visibility, engagement, and success of our client organizations through innovative website design and communications initiatives.
​
Position Summary:
The Website & Communications Specialist focuses on the development and maintenance of websites for CHMS and its clients. This position will focus on the execution of marketing and branding efforts for CHMS and its client associations. This individual will collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and I.T. vendors to implement strategic communication plans that align with each client’s mission and goals and ensure websites are running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
​
Website Development & Maintenance

Collaborate with Executive Directors and client leadership to determine website goals and identify opportunities.

Work with various website building platforms and Association Management software (e.g. MemberClicks, YourMembership, Wix, Glue Up, WildApricot, Squarespace, Novi AMS, WordPress, etc.) to develop new websites and redesign existing ones.

Perform day-to-day maintenance and updates to clients’ websites.

Interpret analytics to identify website improvements, and determine audiences and keywords for user retainment.​

Digital & Social Media Marketing

Manage and grow presence across all major social media platforms.

Create compelling digital and print content, including newsletters, press releases, e-blasts, blogs, videos, and infographics.

Execute paid advertising campaigns.

Adjust content based on performance metrics, A/B testing, and SEO best practices.

Internal Marketing & Brand Development (CHMS)

Contribute to the development of CHMS’s brand identity, messaging, and digital presence.

Support strategic communication initiatives aimed at talent recruitment, retention, and other key goals as identified by CHMS leadership.

Assist with expanding CHMS visibility through digital channels, in the community, and industry publications.

Develop marketing content that highlights CHMS’s services, team members, milestones, and culture.

Qualifications:
​
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
-
Minimum of two years of professional experience in website design, marketing and communications.

Proven success designing and managing websites.
-
Experience managing domain registrations.
-
Proven success managing social media accounts and digital campaigns.
-
Proficiency with analytics programs and SEO best practices.

Preferred:
-
Experience working with nonprofit organizations or membership associations.

Familiarity with association management software.

Experience with social media scheduling platforms.
-
Google certifications (e.g., Google Analytics Certification, Google Ads Certification, Google Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Professional Certificate) and other certifications pertaining to website development and maintenance as well as Communications & Marketing.
